Stranded

What do you get when you mix a blown head gasket with an oxygen flow sensor malfunction? Two dead cars! UGH! My dh was in the process of trying to get our second car on the road, it's been out of commission for many months, when our head gasket on our "good car" blew. Since that is a bigger job, requiring more time and more money, that is put on the back burner while he tries to get the stationwagon up and running. Of course the part we need for the wagon cost about $200 new, so my dh is off to the junk yard, for the second day in a row, looking for a replacement part. Poor guy has to walk through the junk yard and try to find the right kind of car, then remove the part. He did that yesterday, brought it home and put it in the car, only to find that one didn't work either. I know, that's what you get when you buy "junk" but it only costs $20 instead of $200, so it's not even up for debate. He took the faulty part out and is going back to the junk yard to try again. Please pray that he finds an acceptable replacement and that once it is in the car it fixes the problem, then we just have to get the wheels aligned and get it inspected.

Of course, we are trying to get the car going because, firstly, we obviously need a car, secondly we have missed all our church's evangelical outreaches this past week :o( , and thirdly we are trying to leave for our cottage next week. Every year satan tries to prevent us from going to the cottage and to our 10 day christian retreat. We always have car issues, financial issues and health issues. Since it is God's will for us to go, we always make it, our God is greater than any thing satan can throw at us, we just have to rely on Him.

So today, instead of going to our evangelical out reach, I will spend the day playing outside with the children and just enjoying the peace of home. I believe God is allowing this as a fun time for the children, they went swimming in the lake yesterday, a first for Anah, she had a blast! I thought she might be fearful, HAHA, was I wrong!
