Today was not only a wonderful Mother's Day, it was our three youngest's church dedication. It's just a simple ceremony, but is oh so filled with meaning. It is our public proclamation that we will raise our children for God, we have obviously already vowed that, as christians and as parents. It is also our church's time to vow to come along side us and aide us and hold us accountable.
We were blessed to have my parents there as well. There were two other families dedicating some of their younger children as well. They asked us to tell a little bit about how our children came to our families, if it wasn't the "typical" way, lol. So, of course I got to put a plug in for special needs adoptions, specifically Down Syndrome :o) . The Pastor asked Bob and I if we were going to add more to our family, I paused, because we don't have a clear leading one way or the other at this time, so I just told him, "God's will", lol, everyone gave a little chuckle, all except my parents, right Dad and Mum? ROFL But I have learned not to say "never" when it comes to God.
It has been a great day, my darling hubby made dinner for my parents and I, Manicotti that I had put in the freezer earlier, pork chops on the grill, tossed salad, apple sauce and rainbow sherbet for dessert. It was very nice. I got some plants from my children and my parents, so I'll be able to add some perennials to my garden :o) . I'm pretty much a; plant it once and weed only, type of gal.
I pray you all had a blessed Mother's Day, I sure did.
