Any Ideas?

My little guy has the habit of hitting his head with his fist, hand, toys or anything else that he has in his hand at the time. It has gotten better since he has been with us, but it still bothers me. He hits himself HARD! He has an ear infection/sinus infection again, so I'm sure part of it is frustration with the pain/discomfort, so we give him Benadryl (doesn't make him tired at all) and Motrin for the pain as well as his antibiotic. Now however, I think he is starting to hit his head on the floor REALLY hard when he is frustrated or not getting his own way! You know, a 2 yo temper tantrum.

I read Christine's blog http://smilesandtrials.blogspot.com/ and the way she deals with Dennis's disobedience (face to face, simple explanation, removal from the situation, what she expects from him, positive reinforcement). I will try it tomorrow as soon as Jonathan has his first "behavior". Thanks Christine :o)

Homeschooling with Joseph is going well still, praise God! We are still struggling with handwriting, spelling and memorizing addition, and multiplication. Those are all parts of his learning disability. I've tried many things and methods to have him learn, different curriculums, lesson plans, over the past three years, all without success. So, if anyone has any silver bullets, please share! Right now I'm doing "fact families" on flash cards, triangle shaped, we'll see.
