It's been a while

I didn't realize I hadn't posted in so long.... Anyway, things are going wonderfully with Miss Anah. Not sure if we're in the honeymoon phase, or if this is how it's going to stay, but she is a PERFECT fit to our family. I still don't have my Dad's camera software downloaded into my PC, so that's why no pics, but once I do, I'll download plenty.

Our Christmas was great. The kids really enjoyed themselves and my bigger kids were blown away that we got a Wii for Christmas as our family big gift. My 19 yo said he never thought we'd get one because of the cost and because we haven't bought a game system since we got a used Nintendo 64, ROFL. We've been having fun with it. I just made "pro" status in bowling ;o) . Anah is adapting to being in her own room to sleep, getting used to our food, but has definite likes and dislikes. Our "nonverbal" little girl is speaking her own language (not Vietnamese per the people in VN), but is also saying: Momma, Mom, Dad, OK, no, Dora, bye, hey. I think that's wonderful! I'm so proud of her. She also let's me brush her teeth a little bit, but I'm sure it won't get much better until her teeth are fixed, which won't be until after her cardiac appt. and clearance.

We will be going to PA about mid Jan. to drop off our son at college and visit with Bob's family. I pray Anah does ok with the change. I'm pretty sure she will, as long as Momma is within her sight. She and I have not been apart yet, other than when Mommy goes to bed. Tomorrow we have an appointment to get Anah set up with medical insurance, then she and I are going to the hospital with my best friend and her dtr., who is getting a medicated MRI (she has DS also) and has been having more strokes or seizures, so they have to see what's going on. Later on the family will meet us at my friend's house for our New Years celebration of eating, playing games and enjoying great fellowship.

I'll try and find the CD so I can download some pics of Miss Anah and the rest of us. Praying you have a blessed New Years.

June-

I am orginally from Greece, NY and am wondering if you are any relation to the people who own Berger's Funeral Home.

I have enjoyed reading your story about Anah and know that 2009 will be a super year for you.
