It's a Go...

I'm all set to go! I just have to pack my two carry on bags, but that's all the last minute stuff, so I'll do that tomorrow before bed. I have all my money set to go, passport, tickets, documents and a couple special deliveries I'm making for two families that have and are adopting from VN.

We only have the money we need because Bob's sister and her husband and my parents let us borrow the last of the money we needed for the trip and for Anah and my expenses while we are there. We are SO thankful to them. As you can imagine, two adoptions within a year from two different agencies and two different countries, is quite an expense! We had hoped that the Lord would provide the money we needed without having to ask anyone, but I guess God felt like we needed to be humbled, we must have been becoming too prideful. In any case, we are blessed to have wonderful family on both sides that we could count on. I know too, that they feel blessed being able to help us bring our little Anah home, God works everything to the good.

I ask for prayer for Anah's transition. I know I say it all the time, but that is the thing that concerns me the most. I already love her so dearly, but she doesn't even know me yet, I'm sure she will be fearful, insecure, and overwhelmed by all that is going to be going on in her life for the foreseeable future.

Mom and I went to my church's ladies luncheon today. We went to the Marriott hotel and had a very delicious meal, great fellowship, shared gifts, heard a devotional and had yummy cookies all in a lovely atmosphere. When we were done and getting ready to go, my dear friends gathered round me and prayed for my journey and for Anah's ability to transition easily. I have such peace regarding my trip. I did before, but knowing that all those wonderful Godly ladies will be lifting us up in prayer daily, really puts a sense of calm in my heart. My Mom was so touched by their kindness and love for me, that she was crying. She isn't used to relationships like that at her church. I also have my mother in law and all her prayer warriors in prayer for us. I really don't know how people get through life without Christ and the comfort that He gives us through His followers.

I need to print some pics of us all off to put in a mini photo album for Anah, so I can explain who everyone is, so that when she meets them it will be a little more familiar to her. Not sure if I'll blog again before I leave, so if not, be blessed and I'll talk to you from VN!
