You know how you would just like a lazy day with nothing to do? Well, it didn't happen. I had a new chiropractic appointment for each of the boys this morning at 10am. Started out with the alarm not going off! UGH, well it did technically go off, but my dh had the volume so low that it couldn't even be heard by a dog! So I woke up at 9:30 to Jonathan talking. It's at least a 15min. drive, minimum, and the two older boys were still sleeping. I'll leave it to your imagination as to how we got out the door :o( We made it with a minute to spare! Jonathan ate breakfast in the car, PJ fed him, and the rest of us just had to wait til after the chiro.
Jonathan started with his usual green snot late yesterday. I called the MD this am and they said they could see him at 11am. I took the appointment, since it was the latest they had, but I didn't hold much hope. 10:55 we were only on child #2 at the chiro, so I called the doc. and asked if they could just write a script. for Jonathan's usual antibiotics and send it to the pharmacy. The receptionist told me that they don't like to do that. I explained that I realized that, but since the Nurse Practitioner knows Jonathan and knows that I know when he has a sinus infection, I hoped she would trust my judgement (I am his mother AND a nurse) and would not make us wait until Monday. She told me she'd get back to me. Of course my cell phone was dead, so I had to leave the chiro's number.
By the time we were ready to leave I hadn't heard back from the doc's office, so the boys and I flew off into the car and drove the 15mins. to the doc's office. It was 11:55 and they close at 12. I got to the door but it was already locked, I knocked anyway. They showed grace and let me in. The NP had me bring Jonathan in, he was weighed, she looked in his ears (can't see anything, canals are too narrow and always plugged with wax) and saw his green snot. OK, he's got his sinus infection and she wrote me the prescription! I realize that it's their license and all that on the line, so I'm understanding about it, plus the fact that they squeezed us in, but the rushing around doesn't bode well with my joints. Ah well, had the prescription and that was the main fact.
Went to the drug store, then to Walmart for some things, by then I had a wicked migraine. NO COFFEE!!! UGH, I admit, I'm addicted. I hadn't had my morning coffee and hadn't taken any of my pills and had just eaten for the first time that day. Tim Horton's here I come!!! I'm so blessed to have such wonderful boys and a great husband. When I came home I fed the baby, changed him, then he and I went to bed.
I woke up to my migraine still, so I had to take one of my migraine pills, oh well, I had hoped to avoid it, but that's how it goes. Oldest son is off to a movie with some friends, son #2 is sleeping over at a friends house and son #3 is in his crib talking. Hubby and I are watching the Olympics and relaxing....ahhh...peace blessed peace!
Praying you all have a blessed Sabbath tomorrow, I know I will, any time I can be with brothers and sisters in the Lord worshipping Him is a blessed day!
