I'm Blessed

Not only do I have a wonderful family, but I have a wonderful church family. Bob and I are both very involved in many aspects of our church. I don't look at it as any less important than being involved with my "home" family. After all, we are ALL adopted into God's family, so the people at FBCH (First Baptist Church of Holley) are really my brothers and sisters.

We are blessed to have a wonderful Pastor. He preaches God's word straight. He refuses to compromise God's word to make it "less offensive" or palatable to those who hear it. I don't mean to make it sound like he is insensitive, on the contrary, but he will not make excuses for God's word, it stands on it's own, nothing else is needed.

If you ever feel the need for encouragement, or a need to get hit right between the eyes (lol), won't you visit our church web site and listen to some of Pastor John's sermons? I don't think the beginning announcements and prayers are with the sermons, but every week the person making announcements always prays for God to speak to us, not Pastor, that the Pastor just be the vehicle which God uses to bring us His message.
