I know it says the 11th, but I haven't gone to bed yet, so I'm posting on day 10 for me. Today Anah and my niece, Rachel played all day. I know it may not seem like a big deal, but Anah is just learning to play and I love that she has someone else with DS to play with.
Anah still doesn't talk (other than her own language...Anahese) and Rachel is just starting to talk clearer (not only DS, but several strokes, one in which she lost her speech) but boy do they communicate and giggle! It does my heart good to hear Anah laughing. To see her interacting and playing with a child close to her age, not a toddler or an adult.
When you have a child with DS, you sure learn to slow down and appreciate the smaller things in life. Thank you Lord for giving me such wonderful children, so that I can learn to slow down and enjoy the life You have seen fit to give me. It sure is a sweet journey.
