7 of 31 for 21

Lu, the lady who designed the free Reece's Rainbow calendar, mentioned she needed someone to locate a printer or two, to see about printing the calendars for those that can't print their own, or for those who prefer a professional product.

Since we know Becca from the Camp Grove, I figured I'd ask her and her family's business, to give us a price. Since RR is a 501K organization, she could give us a special price. Boy is it EVER!! Lu and I were blown away by their generosity! We will be asking $3/calendar that is only the cost of printing the calendar and my s&h to mail it to you!! Lu asked that they just be printed as sheets and we will then cut our own calendars to the way we want them. Some of us will open them vertically, some horizontally, yet others just attached at one corner with a ribbon, it is up to the individual to cut them and set them up the way they choose.

These will make wonderful Christmas gifts, I plan on giving several. I would ask, for those that are able, that you also consider giving a donation to one of the children on RR. If you can only give a couple dollars and don't feel it is enough to do it through the RR site, I'd be happy to take all the "smaller" (no donation is really too small), donations, put them all together and donate them to one specific child that may not have a Christmas warrior. I will be donating any left over funds, after paying for the calendars, envelopes and s&h, to a specific RR child.

I would just like to reassure you that none of us is making any money on this or getting paid, this is a labor of love. Love for all of the children that do not have families. Children that will live and die in orphanages, and when they get too old (usually age 4), they are transferred to mental institutions, where most die within the first year.

The grants for these children, that we try to raise awareness for, is to help families who have a heart for adoption, but don't have the $25,000-$35,000 average, that it costs for an international adoption. There are many of us who have already adopted one or more of these wonderful children with DS, that would LOVE to adopt more, but the cost is prohibitive. We walk a fine line between knowing God can/will/does provide for all our needs, and being wise stewards of the resources and families He gives us. To see a family have to stop an adoption once they are started, is devastating emotionally for all, as well as damaging financially to the family.

So, why in the world would anyone risk their heart and their finances? Click on my calendar button, have a look at those faces, that will answer your question. God bless, and please let me know if you would like a calendar or two...
