Asking for prayer for my "niece" (best friend's dtr.), she has H1N1. Her school is closed for a week. Please pray her fever doesn't go any higher, 102, that her lungs stay healthy and that she recovers quickly. Please also pray her sister, who has cardiac and resp. issues, as well as DS, doesn't get it.
The doctor didn't want to give her the antiviral, since she isn't in a high risk group. I thought they were considering all children high risk? I guess it's very arbitrary and depends on who you speak with and when. The doc. didn't want to see her either and has no way of testing to make sure it is "officially" H1N1, but since 3 or 4 other children in her VERY small christian school have it, they are assuming any child that gets similar symptoms has it as well. If she gets sicker they said to bring her to the hospital.
I ask that you lift Gracie up in prayer, as well as her family. Thank you

I pray that she does get well soon. My nephew had it last week and recovered pretty quickly.
My kids were both able to get the vaccine today and I hope it was in time. I think it depends on how much vaccine each area has as to whether healthy kids can get it or not. Immuno-suppressed kids or kids who are more likely to get pnuemonia are higher on the list than healthier kids.
