Didn't do it again...27 for 31 of 21

Apparently, I forgot to post yesterday....lol...I thought I had, but since I had a busy day, I guess it slipped my mind (which believe me, is VERY easy to do).

So, I'll tell you what we did. Anah and I had a girls only day. First we went to the Medicaid office, which if any of you know, is a nightmare!!!, at least in NY, UGH! We FINALLY, after 10 months, had Anah's appt. for her Medicaid. In NY, you can get medicaid d/t a diagnosis of MR, even if you have other insurance, which we do. We have Tricare, through Bob, but now Medicaid will be our secondary and cover things that Tricare doesn't, which is such a blessing! Even with an appt., you have to wait in a line. Usually that line goes faster since it is the designated "Appointment Only" line. After you check in, you get a number and have to sit and wait with the hundred or so other people that also have numbers. Thankfully, we really didn't have to wait long before we were called in. This is of course due to the fact that our Service Coordinator had already come out to the house and helped us fill in all the paperwork, told me what documents to bring and had gotten our income waiver (that is what took so long). The appt. itself was only about 10 minutes long...after 10 months....sigh. But, hopefully, we will be getting a letter by the end of the week!

Then, since I don't go into downtown Rochester often, I decided to go to the two VOA's that I know of there to see what I could find. I have decided to make most of the gifts this year, at least for all the therapists, and church gifts. I "borrowed" an idea from a craft store I saw. Once I make a couple I'll post pictures. They are so cute and oh so easy and inexpensive to make! They are cake, pie, cookie or candy dishes on a pedestal, I will fill each with homemade cookies, candies or chocolate covered pretzels. So, I bought my "supplies" at these places.

After the two downtown VOA's Anah and I went to lunch at Perkins. Boy, can that girl eat! I love her so much. We sat next to each other in the booth and giggled and laughed at who knows what, and just had an enjoyable time together. Afterwards I dragged her to two more Good Wills in the suburbs, that we don't live too near to either. The whole time I talk to her about anything and everything and now she is starting to babble back and point to things. I'm fairly certain she will speak English some day and not just Anaheese.

Then we came home, she fell asleep in the car...awww. Once home we had our usual busy evening with the rest of the crew.
