Method to My Madness

I was reading one of the blogs that I randomly read, Jessy was discussing her methods of cleaning. I decided to post my comment here as well. I guess this is the Method to My Madness when it comes to cleaning. What's yours?

Mine is more of a "Panic Clean". When I am having someone over I go crazy in the few rooms I think they will be in, ie: living room, downstairs bathroom, dining room, kitchen. The upstairs is OFF LIMITS, lol. In my panic clean I have parts of the 10 min. clean, where everyone flies around room to room, and the Lavern clean, get everything out of sight quickly! Housework is NOT one of my gifts :o( . It was before lupus, but since then, like so many other things, it has fallen at the way side. I've tried schedules, Flylady and various other things, all to no avail. So I guess for now, I'm stuck in Panic Clean mode.

I really need to get something that is less "panicky" and more constant and steady so that there is no need for the panic. The problem is I often don't feel able to be consistent. Between the children (who are first along with hubby), homeschooling, therapies, feeding my bunch, church/christian life commitments, friends and various appointments and obligations; I am usually too fatigued or in too much discomfort to want to clean. I guess I should force myself more, but when I do too much "pushing" beyond my limits I have relapses, which is NOT good because of all the things listed above, lol. I guess it's a fine line, but I do believe I have to start pushing myself a bit more. Maybe since I've blogged it to the world I will make myself more accountable? Or maybe everyone will just realize I'm not a good housekeeper any more? Either way, that's me, "being real".

I seen a quote the other day that said : A clean house is the sign of a wated life!!! LOL!! I think I could use that to my advantage sometimes!

Clean houses are boring!

Thanks for stopping by my blog. Which side of the falls are you on?

I try to stay positive, like you. For the most part I am. I am a lot more positive in real life than I am on my blog. My blog is being used right now to let people know what it's like for "the rest of us."

I hope we can be an encouragement to each other!
