Well I knew it would happen eventually...

Well, it's happened...I'm behind again. I'm always behind in many things, cleaning, laundry, sending out cards, Christmas shopping, you name it, but this time I'm talking about Joseph's homeschooling.

We were doing so well. We aren't terribly behind, but two weeks in math and a little less than a week in LA. We are on track with everything else. Joseph and I spent the day together yesterday, trying to have him understand his math. We've been doing multiplication and division for three years now and he STILL can't remember his multip. tables! Each and every question is like he is trying to figure it out for the first time.

We have done flash cards, stories, charts, oral, visual, auditory, computer, workbook, hands on, you name it, NOTHING. I guess this is just part of his learning disability, but to say it is frustrating for both of us is an understatement. So, we keep plugging away. I must confess to not being the most patient person in this regard. After about the tenth time with the same sums I get quite frustrated when he looks at me like it's the first time he's seen/heard it. I was less than sweet yesterday. Of course I asked his forgiveness and repented, but I still feel horrid! Today I will let him do as much as he can do by himself. When he gets stuck I'll have him move on to something else. Tomorrow and Friday we'll spend one on one time with math again, until we are caught up.

We don't have co-op until Feb. again, so now Friday's are free days. I purposely didn't schedule Friday's for the whole year because, for one I didn't have exact days for co-op and two, when we're off we can use those days as catch up, fun days, or just a break.

Jonathan is getting sick again. He's whiny and has a runny nose. He is even off his food! That is very rare for him! He threw up a bit today, so I think his tummy is sick as well. Gonna go try him with some oatmeal, he didn't want an egg or applesauce.

No word on Anah yet. :o(
