Tomorrow is Jonathan's surgery. I'm glad he is finally going to get it done. After two cancellations due to his illnesses, I'm relieved it will be out of the way before I leave for VN and Anah comes home. Not that it would be a huge deal, but just a bit easier.
Please pray that all goes well and nothing unexpected happens. I know adenoids and tubes are not major surgeries, but any time a child of mine has to go under anesthesia, well, it's just not a favorite thing of mine ;o) . I do have faith in God and that everything will be done according to His will and so I can rest in that, I just don't like my little one to be in pain. I'm sure it is from my being a nurse and not having "control" or being part of the situation, I know God is still working on me in that area. I've improved greatly in my control issues, but still have very far to go, unfortunately.
No news on Anah yet, but then again, I still don't have the money I need to travel, soooo..... We are still working on Anah's room and furniture. We had some delays since we needed to purchase some wood, joint compound and paint to get it done, but now we have our needed supplies so construction can resume, lol. We are adding a closet in that room, well actually there was an alcove there that my dtr. put clothes bars up in and hung a beaded curtain up, but we want an actual door up there and built shelves inside as well as repositioning clothes rods, one so Anah can reach and one so she can't ;o) . When we bought our home there were NO closets, it had been a carriage house and then a summer cottage. Bob had to remodel the entire inside, so we added closets to the rooms after we relocated walls etc. The bedrooms upstairs all have angled outer walls since it is "barn" shaped. So Anah's closet is angled on the inside, so we are putting shelves up high and down low. The lower one we will be able to store things under and Anah can put things on top, like shoes etc. The upper one is for things Mommy and Daddy don't want her to get into. We also are planning on putting a lock on the INSIDE of the closet, with the door knob that locks and can open with one of those "pin keys". This will prevent her from pulling all her clothes out and pulling everything out of her closet on a regular basis.
