My little guy was a real trooper on our ride down and up to/from PA. He seems to be feeling fine, actually hasn't seemed to be in pain too much, at least not that I could tell. He never had trouble eating or drinking, hasn't had any fevers and hasn't been fussy. He has wanted some extra TLC, but that and Tylenol seem to be fine for him. Has anyone else experienced this, he has the WORST breath! I've brushed his teeth, he isn't dehydrated, but that breath could knock you on your seat! I imagine it's from the surgery, after all cauterized flesh, but oh my gosh!! Did anything work for anybody? Can't give him mouthwash or anything, he'd drink it, plus it would irritate the site, but oh my goodness, the drive in a closed up van (it was cool outside) was less than pleasant! We did open windows and put on heat, but didn't want him to get an ear ache or anything.
Penn. Tech. was very good. Please pray that if it's the Lord's will, that PJ will get accepted into the college/PA program and that we can get financial aid/loans for him. We got to speak with PA students and instructors, saw the classrooms and labs and housing, all the areas he was interested in. He has a good feeling about this school, so I just pray it's where he's supposed to be. One of the instructors was very nice and she will be looking into his transcripts etc. and see about him getting into the program personally! There were different "stations" in the lab where you could see how the training equipment works etc., Joseph had fun looking in "ears" and listening to "breath sounds". Jonathan, of course, was a hit with all who saw him. He did all his "tricks" for everyone, they clapped, so of course he kept it up, lol.
Today is a day of rest. I was so tired yesterday that I slept part of the way home. If anyone knows me, I do all the driving, I have control issues in that area. Well, after only about an hour I had to pull over and let Bob drive, not typical for me.
I think I may go through some clothes and other stuff today, to see about getting rid of things and organizing. I was saving the boy clothes for Jonathan, but by the time he fits in them he'll be 20, LOL. So, I'll keep a few favorites and bless some of the boys in the homeschool co-op with them, it's so hard to get boy hand-me-downs, since they tend to be so rough on their clothes!
